How To keep Track Of Your Miles Run

Hi! I am still slowly chipping away at running 2016 miles this year. So far I’m on track but Camiseta Eintracht Frankfurt it’s only 18 days into the year and I am losing count of my miles. Nooooo. It would be a disaster to actually run 2,016 miles and not be able to really prove it to myself. I am trying to brainstorm  ways to keep track of how many miles I’m running because my current method isn’t working (due to user error but still).

This morning I set off to run 8 miles. I did remember to start Run Keeper (the app I’m using to track mileage) but I’ve forgotten to start it more times than not. When I forget I have to go in and manually log my run. That’s not the end of the world, but if I don’t remember that run doesn’t count – and I need every mile for this goal!!

Post-run I did a little downward dog with Roxy. She is not really feeling well or something. She barfed a bunch last night it was not pleasant to clean.  I thought I’d share that. You can share something gross about your life in the comments if you want.

Speaking of friends… Roxy is now my only only pal because of the saddest thing = SkinnyRunner moved to another start as of January 1st. She takes the whole “New Year new You new State” thing very seriously. (She also just stopped blogging on Dec 31st a few years ago without a trace.)

Anyway.

Simply 7 sent me a package of kale chips today. Yahhhh!! I was super happy until I saw one of the flavors is pickle and it reminded me of SkinnyRunner. I’m sad now.

Luckily, food makes me happy so I think it’s going to be okay.

I paired my snack with some Fruit Punch Spark. Boom!

Now let’s talk about logging miles run…

1. Running or walking app.

I’m using RunKeeper, which I do really love. I just am not in the habit of starting it since I’ve had a terrific GPS watch for so long.

Also, my new GPS watch is so smart it tracks automatically. I don’t always run with a watch or phone or deodorant so I don’t want to depend on this 100%.  It’s a Moto360 and so far I’m super super impressed with all the stuff it does (more on this later but it full on told me when a package was delivered earlier).

2. online Running Log

There are plenty of free running log websites. The main this is, you have to actually log it.

3. Spreadsheet.

Yes, like OG excel spreadsheet. I know a lot of runners are ‘numbers people’ so this a terrific way to keep track of runs, dates, mileage, notes…

The good thing about creating your own spreadsheet is you can make it to suit your needs. Makes notes about how you feel, weather, coming back from an injury… there are so many things that can affect your running.

4. start a Running Blog.

And then actually post your runs.

Fun fact: I started Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Irán Run eat Repeat to blog about training for my first marathon. That was 7 years ago.

I never expected this lil ol’ blog to turn into anything other than a training log. now over half a million people stop by each month to say “Hi!”.

I’ve gotten away from blogging about running 100% of the time so I can’t really use it to track my miles, but if you are better than me it’s a terrific way to track!

Other options:

Post your workouts on Facebook, on a sign outside your house, on your dog’s collar…

5. good ol’ paper calendar.

There are also paper running logs and running journals you can buy. These have more room for notes and stuff too (things like what you ate before a run, the weather, if an injury was bugging you…).

On my run I saw that a bad lil puppy stepped in wet paint. This is so cute though! I hope these paw prints stay forever. I run here fairly typically and it would make me smile every time.

I use beach Body on demand so I can just do any of the workouts any time I want. I am still really liking the 21 Day fix and 21 Day fix extreme series so I mix and match those. They even have yoga. (I’m just sharing that to make myself feel guilty for not doing it.)

Roxy is still here hanging out and I’m still here drinking 1000 drinks a day. They include: iced coffee, water, Spark, hot tea.. and that’s all before 2pm.

Speaking of Spark… a few asked me about the variety pack of flavors but it’s sold OUT. Boo. Sorry Camiseta Fútbol about that, but let me know if you want ideas on what flavor to try first. I’d guess the flavors in the variety pack are the most popular, but I’d switch out Mango Strawberry for Grape.

I know I’ve posted this before, but it’s a dinner staple in my life. Anytime the tortillas start getting a little hard and/or I have extra protein leftovers I want to step up I make Stacked Enchiladas. They’re just like regular enchiladas except layered and not rolled up.

I use whatever I have on hand many of the time. Today it was leftover shredded rotisserie chicken, sharp Cabot cheese,fresh spinach that was 16 minutes from going bad and corn tortillas.

I’m doing the 24 Day challenge and really just focusing on eating healthy and no junk so I made these lighter by only putting cheese on top (not in the layers) and adding the spinach. Corn tortillas are fairly healthy (only 2 or 3 ingredients too), the chicken is good protein and the salsa Camiseta Stade Rennais FC is blended veggies. Boom. The only thing to be mindful of is how much cheese you’re using.

I layered the ingredients with a can of taco sauce I had. Then, baked it until it was hot and the cheese melted. So easy.

Well, in addition to the training information Iron girl and fitness magazine are sending me two race entries – one for me and one for a friend. I slept on it and chose to opt for it! (In reality I went back and forth “Yes” then “No” for a while before deciding to take a chance.)

This implies in about a month and a half I will be completing my first triathlon in Lake Tahoe, CA! I am frightened and nervous and having second thoughts. But, I feel like I ought to bite the bullet and “tri” it, so I am!

Luckily, my pal Susan agreed to do the race with me. She and I both admit that we don’t know how to ride a bike to save our lives, and essentially do a glorified doggy paddle to swim. We are in trouble. So, I am currently putting together a quick and dirty triathlon training program for us. I’ll post it tomorrow.

Our goal is just to finish. Actually, my goal is to survive. finishing would be good too though.

One of the most essential aspects of triathlon training is brick work outs.

“Brick” = Bricks refer to training for two events during the same workout (ex. swim & bike), with minimal or seamless transition from one to another, just Camiseta SS Lazio as you would do in a race

Race Day Tips:

• 2-3 hours before your race, eat something with 0.9 grams of carbs per pound of body weight (Ex. a 140-pound woman, that’s 126 grams) • 5 minutes before the race, do four to six 30-second strides bursts. It’s a smart way to warm up your muscles versus doing static stretches before a race but that’s been found to actually decrease the power in muscles • Within 30 minutes of your finish, refuel with chocolate milk. research shows replenishing with protein and easy carbohydrates within 30 minutes after a workout or race is the best way to recover quickly

Pro tip: Make Camiseta Celta de Vigo a cupcake of whatever you’re baking so you can try it without cutting into it like the tragic, no self control animal you are. Oh, is that just me? Okay. Don’t judge.

I baked the sweet potatoes and peeled off the skins for the casserole. This is pretty much the only time of year when I cook so many things from scratch. I love it, but make the biggest mess ever. I also have pumpkin bread baking, cornbread and green bean casserole.

Sadly, when I was trying to get a glass tupperware down from the cupboard above the oven, one fell and hit the side of the stove. It chipped it pretty bad. Boo. But, I think if it would have hit the glass it would have completely cracked it so I should at least be happy about that. it all happened so fast I also smashed my finger at the same time and have no idea how. Oh well. Life must go on because tomorrow is my favorite day!

I tried to have a veggie and protein packed dinner since I knew I’d be eating the cornbread and a delicious pumpkin bread in 3 minutes.

NFL, along with The national domestic violence Hotline and Raliance, Renew partnerships to help stop domestic violence and sexual assault

The national Football league (NFL) joined the national domestic violence Hotline (The Hotline) and RALIANCE in announcing their continued partnerships.

April is sexual assault awareness Month and highlighting the work of the NFL’s national and local partnerships that offer year-round resources to educate communities and support survivors is part of the League’s broad commitment that includes much more than $50 million in donations because 2014.

For much more than eight years, the NFL has offered financial support to The Hotline in its mission to shift power back to those in the U.S. affected by relationship abuse. The Hotline remains the only national, 24-hour, year-round resource for survivors providing services through call, chat and text. through funding from the NFL, The Hotline was able to answer over 400,000 calls, texts and chats in 2021 alone—more answered than in any other year because the organization’s inception in 1996. Additionally, support from the NFL has helped The Hotline connect survivors with over 200,000 referrals to shelters Camiseta Kashima Antlers and domestic violence service companies and over 190,000 referrals to additional resources across the nation this past year.

The NFL and The Hotline have renewed their partnership another three years through a grant from the NFL, which will empower The Hotline to continue their direct services and grow their capacity to meet the enhanced contact volume, even more its policy work to advocate for expanded resources for survivors and establish the national Survivor data Institute with an emphasis on research on the experiences of survivors, especially those from marginalized communities.

“We are incredibly grateful for the national Football League’s renewed commitment and support to guarantee all those impacted by domestic violence have access to The Hotline’s 24/7 services—said Katie Ray-Jones, CEO of the national domestic violence Hotline. This is coming at a time when survivors are needing services much more than ever. We are experiencing the highest contact volume in our history. together we should do much more to advocate for expanded resources for survivors and guarantee access to services. The road ahead for true systemic change is a long one and it will take all of us committed to guarantee that relationships are healthy and totally free from violence. We are encouraged whenever an industry leader, such as the NFL, steps forward to stand with and support survivors”.

With the NFL’s support, RALIANCE was created in 2016 to unify the national sexual violence field to better support victims and survivors. In addition to supporting their general operations, communications and advocacy work, together the NFL and RALIANCE have awarded nearly $3 million in grants to prevention programs and projects that support survivors and make communities safer. using an intersectional method to prevention, the majority of the 68 projects funded to date were awarded to programs serving people of color, LGBTQ+ communities, people with disabilities, religious minorities, immigrants, young people, and others who typically are heavily impacted by sexual violence yet historically overlooked by funders.

This month, the NFL has renewed a three-year grant partnership with RALIANCE to expand their work with grantees by providing much more resources, prioritize grant Camiseta UNAM Pumas funding to organizations at the intersection of sexual misconduct prevention and social justice, and with other organizations to offer them the best tools to create a safe environment when it concerns sexual harassment and abuse.

Ben Does C25K

Ben has been talking about taking up running for a while. Then, when we were talking about our new Year’s Resolutions he said he wanted to run a marathon this year (!). I suggested we start with a 5K and take it from there. So, today is Ben’s first day of the couch to 5K program!

I’m going to be his coach and running buddy for this so I’m excited too! This morning we did 20 minutes of run/walk intervals. We used the cool Running C25K program, but I’m going to write up a new training plan for him since I think he can run longer run to walk intervals.

After we got back I took off my garmin and set off for a 3 miler of my own. I like doing an easy 3 miles a few days after a race to see how I feel. No Garmin, no time worries – just me and my legs to let me know how they feel. My left knee feels a little sensitive so I might take off tomorrow.

LEAD1 survey reveals 90% of FBS athletic Directors Polled Are concerned NIL used as improper Recruiting tool

LEAD1 association (LEAD1), which represents the athletics directors of the 130-member schools of the Football bowl Subdivision (FBS), has announced the results of its FBS athletic directors survey, which revealed 90 percent of polled ads are concerned that collectives are using Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Gales name, image, and likeness (NIL) payments as an improper recruiting tool.
