My trip to nyc happened to be during my anniversary. So, this Sunday Ben and I fought about it made a decision to celebrate a few days late.

For dinner we went to the Cheesecake factory because it’s a special place to us. Well, anyplace with 30 kinds of dessert is special to me…

I perused the dessert case while we waited the 3 minutes for our table. It’s lucky we went Sunday – this place is normally packed!

Funny enough two of the top searches on my blog for years have been people searching info on the “Carlton salad” and “Reese’s Cheesecake” from the Cheesecake Factory. So, I knew I had to paper this meal for your searching pleasure.

Cheesecake factory has a new Skinnylicious Menu! This is the best news ever because it indicates I have plenty of room for a whole piece of Chris’ Outrageous Cheesecake all to myself

We started with bread – but the delicious brown bread was MIA. Don’t worry, I asked for some and the waiter brought out a basket of just sweet, soft bread.

I appreciate that the Skinnylicious menu is a complete menu with appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. It’s not just one or two random ‘chicken and asparagus’ dishes in a half assed attempt to appease the health conscious.

The one downer was that I bought the Mahi Mahi and for some random reason the Irvine location doesn’t make this dish?! So I went with option B, the salmon.

It was good, but not as good as the brown bread. I love bread. Note: The ketchup on my bread plate for dipping stolen fries. I bought from the Skinnylicious menu, but this meal was NOT low calorie.

We shared the “Flying Gorilla” too. It reminds me of the dirty Bananas we drank in Belize.

So good. It’s banana, rum, chocolate chips and who cares what else.

Then, we had to get to the show. We saw John Hefron Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Senegal – he was on Last Comic Standing aka the best show ever.

After the show we did what any hot blooded American would do and we walked back to the Cheesecake factory for dessert to go. We went with Chris’ Outrageous chocolate Cheesecake.

It is – Layers of moist chocolate Cake, Chewy Brownie, Toasted Coconut-Pecan Frosting and Creamy chocolate Chip Coconut Cheesecake.

Ah-mazing!

CCHA Welcomes sports lawyer Matt Banker

Church Church Hittle + Antrim ihas announced the hire of Matt Banker to its Sports Law section. In his new role with the firm, Banker will serve as an advisor to the CCHA sports law group. Banker will support the firm with client work, in handlings with NCAA infractions matters, NIL work, and Title IX work.

Banker is the former associate athletic director at the University of Louisville, where he spent nine years dealing with a broad range of responsibilities – many recently, managing their NIL activities. Additionally, he served as sport administrator for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Rowing Cardinal eSports and Spirit teams and represented university of Louisville on the ACC’s Men’s soccer committee and ACC Constitution & Bylaws Committee.

“We are very thrilled to welcome Matt to the firm,” said Kelleigh Irwin Fagan, partner in CCHA’s sports law and company services practice groups. “His Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Gales recent campus experience and long history in college sports will serve our clients well.”

I have been bringing my hand held water bottle for these mid-length runs. when I boost mileage I’ll wear my fuel belt.

I really got a stomachache mid run as well as wasn’t feeling extremely great for the last few miles. I just slowed down, however didn’t stop. It started to get truly windy as well as I didn’t want to be walking in that any type of longer than I had to ?

Post run I was feeling “off” so I stopped at whole Foods as well as purchased a few of these to mix into my water. I truly liked them as well as am believing about getting a container of it.

I likewise hit up the WF hot bar. The WF in long beach Camiseta Barcelona is small (and just okay), however the few things that it has were delicious!

I got eggs, vegan chorizo potatoes as well as a little piece of vegan breakfast pizza. The breakfast pizza was A.maze.ing. For real.

I likewise got a chocolate chip scone. I am typically not huge on scones (too dry), however this was a winner!

There was one more pit stop on the method house – the Strawberry stand! Thacker Berry Farms has stands around this area as well as their strawbs Camiseta Yokohama F. Marinos are the BEST! They offer out every day, so you have to get there fast.

Lunch was a taco salad with chips – not exciting, however I felt I needed some comida.

Trigger Foods

before my easy four miler this morning I had a few handfuls of Shredded Oats. I love this cereal, but it’s too easy for me to get handfuls throughout the day without realizing how they’re adding up (more on this below).

When I got back I couldn’t decide on breakfast. I have a lot of stuff I need to eat before we move, but what I really wanted was the one thing I don’t have – a strawberry smoothie. Oh well. I chose a yogurt bowl with a Vitatop and Pepita sun Seed Butter. Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Gales

Despite the fact that I’m following Intuitive eating and have gotten rid of any “forbidden foods”, I still Camiseta Bologna FC 1909 have a history with BED – and some of the scars of that remain in depths of my brain.

While I am relatively normal, I still should find a balance between just listening to my body and remembering that I have a history with disordered eating. Intuitive eating holds that you ought to not have any “good” or “bad” foods – and I don’t.

But, I do still have foods that I consider “Trigger Foods”. These are foods that typically (but not always) provoke me to overeat and put me in a place I don’t want to be.

I don’t remember what we were talking about, but I discussed to Ben that my set off foods are cereal, ice cream and granola bars.  He pointed out that we pretty much have 2 out of 3 of those things in our house whatsoever times. True.

I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing – because I don’t label them as “bad” or “forbidden” any longer. But, they still do cause me to go to a place I don’t like.

Still pondering all of this, no conclusions yet…

A week from today I will be posting from California! I still have a list of things to do before I get there, so I better get on it!

My huge Slurpee. I didn’t get brain freeze even though I downed this so fast! It was hot as well as this was lovely.

Dried star Fruit addiction

Hello! This morning I hit the sidewalk for a 10 mile run. It is surprisingly cold here!! I’m outside Sarasota on the Gulf side of Florida and it’s usually warmer than home (in SoCal). but today I was super freezing for the first mile and a half. and yeah, I realize Camiseta Kawasaki Frontale cold for me is not cold for everyone. I can’t handle ‘real’ cold!

Luckily, as long as I’m running I warm up fast. It was a really good run and I listened to the In the Dark podcast which made the miles fly by.

A pal of the family brought over two boxes of pastries from the Gasparilla Inn Bakery. I tried the morning Glory Muffin plus this amazing pecan tart.

Sunday I did some deadlifts and squats with a weight per CJ’s instruction. since I’m away from home and don’t have a gym membership right now I used this 40 pound weight that was in the garage. work with what you got!

Bear stood by to keep me company. He is funny because  he barks at me like he doesn’t know who I am at least once a day! It’s not just because of his shaggy bangs that he barks, he does that after they’ve cut them too. He might not be super bright, but he’s cute.

Last night we visited Ben’s sister and fam. She got a fancy dehydrator last Christmas and is an expert at dehydrating everything from herbs to fruit now.

I saw this on the counter and wasn’t sure what it was…

Turns out it is dried star fruit! It was really good and I kept snacking on it the whole time. It’s so pretty too!

I’ve seen star fruit in the grocery store and several side-of-the-road stands here in Florida, but only once in SoCal. I think that’s for the best because I would become obsessed with it.

It didn’t work. So, I went back again today.

She cautioned me that if she had to cut it out it would be very painful and I would potentially scream Camiseta Inter Milan in bloody murder and scare all the other patients. Noted.

I was scared.

Turns out she thinks it’s a wart (it’s hard to tell because we’ve picked at it twice). and she burned it off. now I have a hole in my foot. Gross.

After my doctor’s appointment I went to my mom’s and we walked the dogs. When we got back I made a salad beast. There was a short moment of embarrassment when I used my mom’s serving bowl and she thought I made a salad for everyone to share.

Nope. All mine.

I can’t believe I posted this – and I post a lot of embarrassing things!

This run was supposed to be: 2 mile warm up; 3 miles at 8:30 pace; 1 mile cool down. I don’t have my Garmin with me, but from memory…

I ended up doing something like:

Mile 1: warm up

Mile 2: 8:35

Mile 3: 8:29

Mile 4: 8:31

Mile 5: 8:14

.40 mile: cool Down (I ran out of time!)

Yes! I felt like speedy Gonzales!!! Arriba! Arriba!!!

I might start wearing sombreros for my tempo runs. If anyone can, a Mexi-can. (I still have to make a shirt with that on it!)

I also had to make breakfast speedy since I have such a long commute! I have oatmeal in a jar. But, I have to admit to a major blog land no-no, I used instant oatmeal packets – one maple brown sugar and one regular. mixing them makes the best flavor or it’s too sweet.

Poured into an almond butter jar and topped with pineapple cottage cheese and blueberries.

I am obsessed with pineapple cottage cheese right now. Ob.Sessed.

Lunch was eaten while working since today was a busy and short day. I made a veggie burger wrap with POP chips on the side. nothing amazing, but I love this meal. Easy, filling and delicious, just like I like it.

And now I am enjoying free Wi-Fi, an iced coffee and a blueberry scone at The Coffee Bean while writing up my breathe post and blogging.

I’ll save half for Ben because I am a good wife. That or, I am planning on a delicious dinner ?

I tried these new to me Grilled Asparagus from Trader Joes – like them.

Dinner – Rotisserie poultry (the skin is missing since I ate it while taking the meat off the poultry yesterday), microwaved a wonderful potato as well as the asparagus.

To make it a lot more tasty I put this dressing on top of the chicken. I don’t such as this as salad dressing, however it’s excellent on chicken.

This morning I woke up, grabbed some iced coffee as Camiseta Club Tijuana well as hit the walkway for a tempo run.
